Conscious Connected Breathwork in Costa Rica

Explore Breathwork with Fern Olivia, creator of Embodied Voice Breathwork®, through private experiences and facilitator training on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.

WHAT IS CONSCIOUS CONNECTED BREATHWORK?

A simple practice with profound depth.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a breathing practice in which the inhale and exhale are gently connected in a continuous rhythm, without a pause between them.

This style of breathing can create a powerful shift in awareness, helping us move out of habitual mental patterns and into a more direct experience of the body, emotions, and nervous system.

Depending on the person and the session, Breathwork may support emotional release, greater self-awareness, increased energy, deeper relaxation, clarity, creativity, and a stronger sense of connection to oneself.

For me, Breathwork has never been only about the breath. The breath is a doorway.

It can help us notice where we hold tension, where we disconnect, what wants to move, and what becomes possible when we feel safe enough to stay present with ourselves.

Breath is only the beginning.

MY APPROACH TO BREATHWORK

Breath is the doorway. Embodiment is the work.

Over the years, my relationship with Breathwork has evolved through teaching, study, personal practice, and working closely with people in retreats and trainings.

What became clear to me is that the breath can open a powerful door, but the deepest transformation often happens through what comes next: how we relate to sensation, emotion, voice, expression, nervous system patterns, and the parts of ourselves we have learned to hold back.

That understanding became the foundation of Embodied Voice Breathwork®.

My approach weaves Conscious Connected Breathwork with somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, voice, sound, movement, and embodied presence so the experience is not only cathartic, but integrated.

The intention is not to push for a dramatic release or force a particular outcome.

It is to create the conditions for greater awareness, expression, self-trust, and connection to what is already present within you.

Breath opens the door. Your body, voice, and presence show you where to go next.
